The other day Katherine and I were taking a stroll around her neighborhood. While we were out I happened to catch a glimpse of distinctly bronco-looking headlights peering from someone's garage. Katherine stopped so I could introduce myself to this fellow working on an early bronco. (Did I just butcher that? Is it early make? Early model? Umm. I'm pretty sure I'll be in trouble for not knowing this.)

He was impressed that I could guess what year it was and showed us his mostly shell of a vehicle not anywhere near drivable with parts strewn about. It looked like a new hobby and a big one at that.

Can I just say? I can't imagine what it's like for you people meeting me for the first time. Here's this guy hanging out in his garage, enjoying the gorgeous weather and thinking about what he was going to do next to his car, when all of a sudden there's a strange girl standing two feet in front of him gesturing wildly and talking really fast for a Sunday. You can probably be assured that what he caught sounded a little like "fdsfhuodasn Bronco ndfnucvo Husband wheonnic Club dfhowenfu TRAILS!!" For being taken off guard he was very nice and seemed genuinely pleased that I promised to come back some day with Mark and a bronco.

I tell you what. If you are lonely or shy, maybe you just moved to a new city or want to make some friends...

Get a Bronco!

I have never been in that thing without people making a comment to us. They want to ask what year it is, look under the hood, tell you all about how they had one in highschool or maybe their dad had one when they were growing up. Granted. Everyone who loves them are men... or lesbians. I mean, it's not really a "chick magnet" but as long as you aren't trying to get laid, go get a bronco.

In other news, I'll be taking down the site for a bit. The journal will stay online, but none of the links will work right now. I'm pretty sure this only effects Jeff and Angela since they are the last ones still reading. Thanks for hanging in you guys!

Recently, the glass in our sliding glass door shattered. No one is really sure how it happened, but that didn't really change the fact that we needed a replacement of some sort.

Obviously, I advocated for french doors and since it wasn't much more than getting custom replacement glass, Mark conceded.

Here is the step by step guide we followed in installing our new french doors. Feel free to use these suggestions with your next installation project.

Crock Pot Carnitas from the lovely and talented Barbara The Accountant

2 -4 pounds of lean boneless pork roast

1 cup green chile salsa

2 jalepeno peppers

3 cloves of garlic

Trim excess fat from roast. Place in crock pot. Pour salsa over meat then add peppers and garlic.

Cook eight to ten hours on low setting, until meat is fork tender. Tear meat into shreds. Return meat to crock pot and stir with liquids in pot to keep meat moist.

Serve with warm tortillas and, if desired, anything extra.

Enjoy!
